About Jonathon
Jonathan Parks passed away on March 16 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He was born in 1949 and grew up in McAllen, Texas.
He lived in San Antonio and Dallas before moving permanently to Santa Fe in the early 1980's. He was a passionate collector of Mexican and American folk art. Besides having his own store at one time, he worked for Robert Nichols Gallery, Faircloth and Stephen's Consignment focusing on display and merchandising. Jonathan was a volunteer at The Museum of International Folk Art. He began as a docent and later designed many fundraisers.
Jonathan is preceded in death by his long time partner
Robert Nichols, owner of the legendary Robert Nichols Gallery on Canyon Rd.
He will be remembered by his Santa Fe friends for his strong work ethic, artistic talent, sense of humor and youthful enthusiasm for learning.
