Our Story
About Stephen
Stephen Etre’s love for antiques began in college, where buying and selling pieces helped fund his education and sparked a lifelong career. In 1984, he became Business Manager at Streck’s Antiques, running auctions in the now Santa Fe Railyard District. By 1987, he took over the business, relocated it to 2701 Cerrillos Road, and rebranded as Stephen’s A Consignment Gallery.

Now, with over 40 years in business, Stephen's is the oldest and largest consignment gallery in Santa Fe. Stephen’s A Consignment Gallery spans 12,000 square feet and holds over 6,000 diverse items at any time. The gallery offers an ever-changing selection of quality furniture, art, décor, antiques, and fine jewelry to suit every style.
In addition to retail, Stephen’s provides tailored services such as personal property appraisals, estate liquidations, on-site sales, and auctions. With a knowledgeable, long-standing team, the gallery is known for its outstanding customer service and dedication to creating a welcoming, enjoyable shopping experience.

About Domenic
Growing up in the gallery, Stephen’s son Domenic developed an innate appreciation for exceptionally curated and
crafted pieces.

After building a successful career in craft coffee sales and distribution in Denver, he made the decision to return to Santa Fe in 2019 to begin learning the business his father worked
so hard to build.

In 2022, Domenic became a
part-owner of the gallery. He continues to expand his knowledge of art and antiques
and brings a fresh energy that
has had a meaningful impact
on Stephen’s Gallery.
